Of course I never update my journal, mainly because I have nothing important to rant about, however I thought my front page needed something new on it, considering the artwork is certainly NOT..haha..

As it seems like I always take on far more projects than I can finish in a timely fashion, and am more often than not consumed by work, I tend to neglect creating artwork for my own pure and simple enjoyment. I feel as though whenever I start something fun or cool, a little annoying voice in my head starts nagging... "You ought to be working up the design for your next appointment." or something to that effect.

Likewise, I've been in the habit of drawing really nifty designs, falling completely in love with them and ending up finishing them with the sole intent of having them tattooed. And then of course I don't post them here because i hate the idea of some anonymous jerk stealing a photo of my arm, leg, etc. and demanding to have the same exact tattoo. And not all tattoo artists have the cahones to say, "No, that's someone's custom artwork, you can't have it." So, sorry for being selfish.

However, to aleviate this problem and to show that, while i may not finish most of them, i do draw (sometimes almost exclusively) in my free time and have tons of sketches to prove it... I'm working on starting a sketch-blog. There i can post all my artistic vomit and all the silly little doodles and works in progress i feel aren't complete enough to be put on this gallery.

I haven't been able to start yet because i've been a little preoccupied with the second annual baltimore tattoo arts convention, which I'll be working at this weekend 23rd-25th here in baltimore, md.

i'll be working with gemini tattoo, so if you're in the area, stop by and say hi, get a tattoo, or buy me a drink at the after party--it'll be much appreciated.

and oh yea, my good friend The Deadneks will be playing saturday night with Murphy's Law, The Nerve Scheme, and Cobra clutch, make sure you see those cats too!
